Honey Lemon Ginger Water

A refreshing and soothing drink made from fresh lemon juice, ginger, honey, and water that supports hydration and aids in weight management.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium fresh lemon (juiced)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger root (sliced or grated)
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (or to taste)
  • 8 to 12 ounces warm or room-temperature water
  • Optional: cinnamon stick or twist of lemon peel

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients and tools. Rinse the lemon and ginger, and heat water to around 140 to 160°F.
  2. Slice or grate the ginger and place it in a mug.
  3. Warm the water and pour it over the ginger. Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Add lemon juice and honey, stirring until honey dissolves.
  5. Strain out ginger if necessary and serve warm or chilled with optional additions.
  6. For a larger batch, steep a multiplied amount in a covered container and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
