Dr. Oz Manuka Honey Lemon Wellness Drink

A simple warm beverage blending fresh lemon juice, Manuka honey, and hot water to create a soothing tonic that promotes hydration and may help curb sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Manuka honey
  • 6 to 8 ounces hot water (about 150 to 160 degrees F)
  • Optional: pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Optional: slice of fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Heat water to about 150 to 160 degrees F (warm, not boiling).
  2. Squeeze 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice into your mug.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of Manuka honey to the lemon juice.
  4. Pour the warmed water over the lemon and honey, and stir for 20 to 30 seconds until the honey dissolves.
  5. Optional: Stir in a pinch of cinnamon or a thin slice of fresh ginger and let steep for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Allow the drink to cool to a comfortable sipping temperature (around 125 to 140 degrees F) and enjoy slowly.
  7. Clean your mug promptly to avoid sticky residue from honey.

Notes

Drink one cup in the morning before breakfast for optimal results. Try variations by using lime instead of lemon or incorporating other flavors.
